A little bit about myself. I am a rising junior, who was invited to the Glynn Family Honors Program, at the University of Notre Dame in South Bend, Indiana. In my primary and secondary education days, I started an accelerated track in middle school and even began taking classes at my local high school when I was still in junior high. Even now, I continue to maintain a high GPA of 3.85 at Notre Dame. As somebody who has grown up taking standardized testing throughout her life, I am able to break down the most important parts of each section and answer questions in the most efficient and simplest way possible, which allowed me to respectively score a 2350 and 34 on the old SAT and ACT while also earning a full score on the SAT Math II test. Math is a foundational skill, that relies on previous knowledge that you have built up throughout your life. Even what initially appears to be advanced math, is simply another form of the math you learned before, just written in a way that seems confusing. My role as a tutor is to teach my students how to approach more difficult math problems and be able to break them down into an iteration they are familiar with. A tutor does not simply teach his or her students the answers but rather how to personally walk the path to the desired solutions with confidence in their own ability and knowledge.
